About

The Soul of Europe was established in 2000 to help realize Nelson Mandela’s words

“You don’t make peace by talking to your friends; you have to make peace with your enemies”

The Soul of Europe works as catalysts and mediators to ensure a peaceful resolution to conflicts – particularly in the Balkans.

The Soul of Europe is not an aid agency.  Neither are its staff members, which include Muslims as well as Christians, missionaries.   The Soul of Europe describes itself as being ‘honest brokers’ bringing people together to help them begin to take steps towards justice and reconciliation.

Donald Reeves – Founder of the Soul of Europe

The Revd Donald Reeves MBE, an Anglican priest, was Rector of St James’s Church, Piccadilly, London  from 1980 until 1998. His imaginative and generous vision has been an inspiration to many from all over the world.
